How OITNB finale introduced me to LP

So, I recently finished season 4 of OITNB, and I can safely say, I have never felt such an array of mixed emotions from one show before, let alone any of the other seasons. The episode to end the season though, was by far the best, and the most emotional yet. Why oh why did Poussey have to die? Not saying that I wanted any of the cast to be killed off, but Poussey. Really? Damn.
The last episode really was a tribute to her though, and it was done extremely well. I think all fans of OITNB and Poussey will agree that the final scene of her smiling straight at you was haunting and soul touching.
If you also happened to hear the music in the background, you'll have appreciated how well it fitted the ending scene. In between the tears from the ending I managed to pick up a few of the lyrics from the song. I wanted to find it because it sounded perfect at the time, and had a feeling it could become the next song to go on to my playlist and I was correct.

After hearing the full version, I didn't just stop there. LP has a seriously good voice, so I had to hear more, and I'm so glad I did. LP has reminded me what it is I truly love about music, none of the chart music will ever compare to actual music and a real voice.
