Sad news today as it has been confirmed that New York fashion photographer Bill Cunningham has passed away. The news comes after a recent stroke. Bill turned into somewhat of a celebrity among the fashion world, with his blue jacket, bicycle and camera, cycling round the streets of New York looking for the perfect fashion statement to him to take a photo of.

I can safely say that his work is that appreciated that I myself was always on the lookout for him when I visited New York this January, and although I myself did not manage to bump into the legend himself, one of my fellow classmates was fortunate to, and I'm sure that she will never forget it.

Today is a sad day. New York and the world has lost a truly amazing person and photographer.
